This is the 9th book in the Left Behind Series. I am starting to feel like the members of the Tribulation Force – desperate for the end! Still three more books to go.
Ok, there are still a lot of things going on. New characters appear, bringing a bit of fresh air with them. Sorrow continues as more Tribulation Force members are lost. I keep wondering as the series wears on whether the founding Tribulation Force members – Rayford, Chloe & Buck will remain to the end. I find myself hoping so, but at the same time wondering if the authors will allow such a “perfect” ending 🙂
There is one thing for sure I am sick of: Nicolae. But of course, there isn’t supposed to be anything endearing about him, since he is the devil and responsible for the ruination of the world. I can’t wait for the last book just to see him get what’s coming to him.
There’s a fair amount of action in this book, so it does keep you fairly well entertained. It has finished on a cliff hanger, and I found myself reaching for the 10th book only to find I haven’t yet collected that from my friend. I wonder if the series could have been condensed a little? I can’t imagine how it was to be reading this series when it was first published, waiting months between releases. I’m not sure if my interest would have carried on for thirteen books in that capacity. But as it is, with all books out and available, it is my mission to complete it!
Other books in the series we’ve reviewed:

Helen is a strange combination of fiction editor and web strategist. That’s because she loves fiction and the internet – and analytics! A former business analyst and IT support manager, Helen now spends her time parenting her three children as well as running her editing and web agency businesses. As a book reviewer and fiction editor, her one true love and specialty is Christian romance fiction.
